Review: Sweet Obsession: A Contemporary Romance Anthology

Sweet Obsession: A Contemporary Romance Anthology Sweet Obsession: A Contemporary Romance Anthology by Barbra Campbell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved loved loved this novel.

As always Fern delivers her addictive writing in this short, steamy and wonderfully romantic novel.

I loved Maddie, and the way she tries to handle it all, her sister’s failing health, her parents, her own life. And I loved how Reid was there for her too, despite battling his own demons.

Definitely sucked me in for a ride, and I never wanted to leave. So good are her novels!

Can’t wait for the next.

Until the next read,

Review: These Dirty Lies

These Dirty Lies These Dirty Lies by L.A. Cotton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Note 2: This is a series. These Dark Hearts is a prequel to this duet - and currently free!-so reading it will give context to the first book in the duet. These Dirty Lies is the first book in the duet, and ends on a cliffhanger. Which will end in These Dirty Promises, releasing April 19 2022.

Trigger Warnings: drug use, alcoholism, death, mention of suicide, violence, child abuse, cutting, panic attacks, domestic violence, bullying, mention of infidelity.

Well all I can say that the story is interesting, and I adored Nate, Celeste, Chloe, Zane, Kye. The MCs, not so much.

And yes I know they're in their teens, so I am choosing to overlook their childish obstacles.

Interesting plot with slight interesting characters, and even more interesting side characters, plus less focus on sex (holy shit what an achievement, my first time seeing this happen for real) - made for an overall interesting novel.

Let's see how the next and final book solves the cliffhanger and several questions/issues raised.

Until the next read,

Review: Stuck with the Movie Star

Stuck with the Movie Star Stuck with the Movie Star by Georgia Coffman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Warnings: alcoholism, infidelity.

My god, I fell in love with this book. Madi and Ian are too cute, and I might have made a wish for Ian to be mine...sorry Madi.

BUt...

I mean okay yes, they had their share of problems. Leaving behind, miscommunication, heartbreak - every teenager's story - except mine hehe.

But the way they come together to fight back and sort through their issues -it's bloody fantastic, awe inspiring, and so damn cute.

And the side characters were cute too, wanted their stories so damn bad. And the whole movie setting was tons of fun to visit as well, felt like I had gone to universal studios.

Overall, this was such a fun, cute, steamy and exciting novel that I want more already by Georgia!

Really, its true.

Until the next read,
