I am late, I must say.

But you know life and all that. Hardly gives you any time to enjoy what you do.

Anywho...

THIS NOVEL HAS TO BE READ!

Good.

Because this book is that good!

God where do I start even?

First thing's first. Our heroine Mackenzie has just faced the most horrible thing that traumatizes those even worse than war: Her sister's death through suicide.

Now god forbid if my sibling ever died in the same fashion as Mackenzie's sister, I wouldn't know what to do with myself, where to go, what to do, who I could ask for comfort and not fall in the trap of thinking that it's all a figment of my imagination.

Cause living becomes harder when you've lost a part of yourself. And I can definitely understand where Mackenzie's character is coming from.

And that move towards Ryan's bed (title reference whoop whoop!) is also understandable. Sometimes you think one thing but forget it's not that actually. And her going to someone foreign's place can also be understandable especially when people of your own blood and flesh refuse to believe you or be a support system in tough times.

And Ryan. Oh my god, Ryan! (Sounds....off-kilter, whoops.)

It's official, I am in love with this guy.

He has been nothing but sweet and so-accomodating and gentleman-like. Made my teenage heart swoon.

Aside from all that fangirling, Ryan is one of a kind. To be honest, he's a gem. Like most guys would have either tried to take advantage of girls like Mackenzie at their most vulnerable or made fun of her. But he left her alone when she needed that time to herself, the one who gave her all the hugs when she was feeling alone and the one with comforting words when she wanted to hear that it wasn't her fault, that it was something that had happened and there was no involvement from her in it.

Unlike some people.

God never give parents like Mackenzie's to children. After what they all went through, her parents still had the audacity to tell her that it was her fault.

My god. Seriously are there no limitations to being cruel?

Well if there was one, the parents have done it.

Aside from that...

This novel has been absolutely heartwarming to read, with important messages given, amazing characters aside from the parents and other lousy characters, great plotline and a very emotional happy ending.

This is one of those books that really touched my heart (there aren't enough I swear), and I am so happy to have gotten the chance to read this.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book. Like seriously, if you need a motivation booster, a meaningful read, a book to make you believe in love and friendship again, THIS IS THE ONE.

READ IT!
