Review: I (One)

I (One) I (One) by Lana Sky
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Note: An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.

First thing: Clearly I should have avoided this book when it said it was no good for under 18s since it involved gore, mature scenes, and what not.

But you know as an ARC reader, you have to read the novel since you have to review it honestly and promote it too, so there’s no going back.

Second fact: There is no indication or flashbacks to the previous book. So for me, be it as an ARC reader or a normal reader who’s never read the previous books, this creates problems to understanding the plot and the overall story set out for all books in series.

So the first fault was mine but the second, no one explained it. The plot seemed interesting enough with me getting through two pages of chapter 1 and preface.

That was it, especially after the ring finger scenario. Damn, was that horrible to read.

I don’t get why authors can’t just have like a mafia scene or feeling to the plot without going too much into gore, or extreme disfigurement of the character or their surrounding specifically? Kinda threw me off and put me off the book entirely.

So yeah, DNFing this book. Not a recommend.

Until the next page,
