Review: Begin with You

Begin with You Begin with You by Claudia Y. Burgoa
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

TW: Abusive situations, ptsd, prostitution, human trafficking, drug dealing, child exploitation, rape, kidnapping. Not suitable for young children.

This novel...it was so heartbreaking and real..and so darn emotional. Sigh. Wes and Abby, for the first time in a while truly inspired me and made me feel more than any other book I ever had.

Such sensitive, loving, heartbreaking, real characters they were. Their stories urged me to want to do something about the situations they faced..that kids even younger than them face everyday..and help them somehow.

And I did not want their story to end..so good and true and real it all was. Most of all heartbreaking...that's what it was.

I just..I don't have enough words people. I am trying but I can't. I am scrounging for words to explain who they are, but I struggle hard.

So I'll just leave you with these words instead: Heartbreaking, true, and feelings are all whack.

That's it.
