Review: Royally Chosen Christmas

Image
Royally Chosen Christmas by Elle Boon My rating: 5 of 5 stars TW: Eating disorders discussed, sexual assault, violence (it would be expected since they are part of a club), rape, child molestation, abuse, BDSM. Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Another Note: Other books should be read in order to understand the background of each of Hollywood's friends, making it an entertaining and lovely experience. A short book but quite interesting and entertaining. Hollywood and Talena are great, both fit each other well. He's insecure about her accepting him, and she's insecure of measuring up to the other women in the past. They have their insecurities, ups and downs like normal couples, and we get to see that in detail, so don't let the short book fact fool you. The writing is wonderful, kept me turning pages all the way. Relatable characters with insecurities, dreams and desires, even if they are not from a conventiona...

Review: You Know I Love You

Image
You Know I Love You by Willow Winters My rating: 5 of 5 stars Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Kat and Evan...so different yet so alike. Their chemistry is off the charts...even when they have problems. Miscommunication is still at-go here it seems. But the writing, the plot, the romance, the characters, the cover, the friends, the family - nothing can break these two apart...even if they are meant to be apart. I NEEEED the second book honestly to find out what happened between the two..and if they will ever resolve it... Awesome book yet again by Willow Winters. Review: You Are My Hope

Image
You Are My Hope by Willow Winters My rating: 5 of 5 stars Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Mason Thatcher is a total dreamboat. There I said it. Even after the despicable things he did, I still love the guy. Jules and him were perfect. Were meant for each other. Their chemistry, their banter, their understanding, their own obstacles, gah, everything made them, them. Plus the writing, the plot, Jules and Mason, and the whole shebang of this duet I sincerely ended up loving a lot. So I can't wait to read more by Willow Winters! Review: The Ahern Brothers Collection

Image
The Ahern Brothers Collection by Claudia Y. Burgoa My rating: 3 of 5 stars Note: I received an ARC of the whole collection in exchange for an honest review. TW: Abusive situations, ptsd, prostitution, human trafficking, drug dealing, child exploitation, rape, kidnapping. Not suitable for young children. (For the Chaotic Love Duet). Begin With You (Chaotic Love Duet #1)- 4/5 stars. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... - The Complete Review of Begin With You (Chaotic Love Duet #1). Brief Review: Tragic but heartwarming. Focuses on real issues in the world that kids face everyday. Strong characters. Steamy Romance. Well developed chemistry between the two. Strong Plot. Strong writing. Back to you (Chaotic Love Duet #2)- 5/5 stars https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... - Complete Review of Back To You (Chaotic Love Duet #2). Brief Review: Still tragic and heartwarming. Review: Once Upon A Holiday

Image
Once Upon A Holiday by Claudia Y. Burgoa My rating: 3 of 5 stars Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I was honestly so excited for this book. I mean this was Sterling's book. You know..the younger Ahern Brother. The artist. The rebel. The charming playboy. I mean he had so much potential for his own story and I couldn't wait. But after reading a few pages...I realized a couple of things. Sterling was still the same. The gang barely shows up in this one. Sterling's love interest is a complete brat. The chemistry is forced. This whole story is a joke - my number one thing I realized. Sigh..this story had so much potential for Sterling, cause yes even if I loved Weston dearly, I still had a soft corner for Sterling - so getting his story wrecked like this - completely wrecked me. A whole day wasted because the story turned out so crappy. The only reason I am even giving this three stars - is because of the gang (gah I l...

Review: Back to You

Image
Back to You by Claudia Y. Burgoa My rating: 5 of 5 stars Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Another Note: Part 1 is Begin With You. This is the second novel in the Chaotic Love Series. Please Read In Order To Understand The Stories. TW: Abusive situations, ptsd, prostitution, human trafficking, drug dealing, child exploitation, rape, kidnapping. Not suitable for young children. Same goes for this one. The backstory in the first novel continues in the second novel...Abby trying to find herself and solve her situation, while Wes is dealing with his own demons. It's still triggering and heartbreaking, so be warned. You're in for a wild ride. The writing is still hearbreaking, the chemistry is definitely there, the plot is wonderful, the characters are flawed and true, and everything about this duet breaks me soul and heart. Sigh...how will I ever get over these two? God knows. Until the next read, TMR View all...

Review: Begin with You

Begin with You by Claudia Y. Burgoa My rating: 4 of 5 stars Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. TW: Abusive situations, ptsd, prostitution, human trafficking, drug dealing, child exploitation, rape, kidnapping. Not suitable for young children. This novel...it was so heartbreaking and real..and so darn emotional. Sigh. Wes and Abby, for the first time in a while truly inspired me and made me feel more than any other book I ever had. Such sensitive, loving, heartbreaking, real characters they were. Their stories urged me to want to do something about the situations they faced..that kids even younger than them face everyday..and help them somehow. And I did not want their story to end..so good and true and real it all was. Most of all heartbreaking...that's what it was. I just..I don't have enough words people. I am trying but I can't. I am scrounging for words to explain who they are, but I struggle hard. So I'll j...

Review: Slade's Sanctuary

Image
Slade's Sanctuary by May Gordon My rating: 5 of 5 stars Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book was fantabulous. Although a late review, but I loved it. It was a quick romance. The plot was short and sweet, the characters had tons of chemistry, the side characters were awesome, and the overall novel was fun. I hope I can read more by this author, soon. Until the next read, TMR View all my reviews

Review: Easy To Lose

Image
Easy To Lose by S.A. Clayton My rating: 5 of 5 stars Note: I received an ARC in exchange for a review. This novel was perfection. I could connect to the female protagonist because of my own..issues as well. The male protagonist was fun too, so supportive and there for his girl. This novel covered issues like body positivity, relationships, who you are and many more. The writing was brilliant, I loved every page I read, the chemistry was brilliant, the characters were wonderful, and I loved being in their world. I hope I read more of this author's work. Review: Left On Main

Image
Left On Main by Crystal Jackson My rating: 4 of 5 stars Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This novel was everything for me. The setting, the plot, the characters, the emotionally charged romance between the two, the general hubbub of the small town itself. I wish I could live there and meet Libby and Seth. They sound like perfect friends to me, if you like bookish, knowledgeable about antiques and lovers of small towns as friends. And Dean and Lindy and Beth and Mr Darcy (you'll see what I mean if you read this one), they are all truly wonderful. I hope I get to read more by this author and continue falling in love with the Heart of Madison series. So good this one was. Until the next read, -TMR View all my reviews

Review: Keep My Heart: Top Shelf Romance #7

Image
Keep My Heart: Top Shelf Romance #7 by Lex Martin My rating: 5 of 5 stars Note: I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Honestly, I enjoyed every story in the collection and I don't have enough words to express my joy, my emotions going in a rollercoaster ride because of the characters. The writing, the plot, the characters backstories and witty banter, the chemistry - it was all heaven for me to read through. Kennedy Fox's book was the most amazing. I fell in love with the characters so deeply, it was hard letting them go when the chapter ended. But good things must have an end at times. Overall, I loved these stories a heck lot, and I hope to get read more of their works. Until the next read, -TMR View all my reviews

Review: Reveal Me

Image
Reveal Me by Jennifer Probst My rating: 4 of 5 stars Note: I received an advanced reader audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review. Please read/hear in order. This is the fifth book/audiobook in the series. I loved everything about this book! Leo and Scarlett were my absolute favorites, the dialogues, the chemistry, the compatiblity between them was everything I didn't know I needed. I loved being in their world, their thoughts, and how they felt about each other. Plus overcoming their obstacles to live their own lives and be together, wrecked me emotionally heart and soul. This review cannot sum up how much I've enjoyed being in their world, and how I feel about them. But I hope what I've written is enough to convey something of my feelings.
